Why CrossFit works for me:

A long, long time ago in high school, I played multiple sports year round.  I played hard and had some injuries, and taught myself to play through them. I didn’t know how they would compound in the future. Fast forward a few (or 3) decades and I had limited range of motion in several joints. Some limitations I hadn’t even realized until learning the functional movements in CrossFit. In the last three years, those limitations have either diminished or disappeared entirely.

There are many other reasons why I love doing and coaching CrossFit, but the top three are:

  1. It is never the same
  2. The WOD is the WOD—just get it done.
  3. Getting to see to see people achieve things they never though their bodies could do.
  4. It truly is for everyone—everything can be scaled to fit the individual.

 

Favorite WOD or movements:

Burpees - because I could always do them, and Overhead Squat - because I thought I would never be able to them.
