Who introduced you - no one, sought it out by myself
Why do you love CrossFit? - It makes me do things I wouldn't do on my own. I like the sense of accomplishment when I do something I didn't think I could do or finish. I also like that there's always room to progress no matter what the age and I like that it's helping me age somewhat successfully. The best part is that I get to help people change their lives.
Why do you coach? - I love helping people accomplish their goals and transform their lives and I love solving complex chronic pain and dysfunctional movement pattern problems.
How you like to coach athletes/clients - from an empowerment perspective. To teach people the skills to accomplish their goals and how to be resilient in both their workouts and the other 23-hours of their day and how to practice self-care so they find balance in body, minds, and spirit.
What is your focus when you coach - To be fully present when I'm coaching and help the members in any way I can, so if they need help I can bridge the gap and fill the need. For me, coaching is always a mixture of mobility, technique, community, work, and fun and it ebbs and flows depending on the day. I try to be adaptable to the members in their specific moment.
Coaching experiences - Started coaching when I was 15 for Special Olympics. I've always coached in one capacity or another since I was a teen, and worked with many different teams, ages, and groups for the past 30 years.
Family life - Married 25 years and 3 kids
Future goals - Age gracefully and stay active my whole life
